Description
Playing with a layer of inverted colors....ONLY AN INVERTED OVERLAY LAYER ON TOP OF A NORMAL ONE....PLUS GAUSSIAN BLUR ON THE INVERTED LAYER.
NO BRUSH STROKES.
I guess it belongs here....
This is my first try of photomanipulation....so please don't laugh!
For a normal view see Sugar from the volcanos...link

I'm happy to see you're trying new stuff. That said, I must admit it doesn't work perfectly well this time. First, I'm not a fan of coloration manips... but that's just me, I'm pretty sure there's a way to get to something cool this way. The problem is mainly the way you applied the colors... We can clearly see the brush strokes you used.
For example, in the top image, we easily see that you colored the top of the mountain and missed it's base. On the bottom one, you cleared went around those flowers things...
I'd say you should keep trying some things with this concept. Give a bit less opacity to those colors and take your time to apply them.
Hope you like honesty.

I fist learn the inversion G Blur from Lenz Weber Phryneas......I did some reading and it is an old trick used also in "normal" photography to enhance details......Needless to say...that you have to play with all the factors ...saturation..levels, etc in both layers.
