Very nice "real life" portrait of a sad child. Assuming he has been beaten by his parents is a step to far I think. This may very well be the case but let none of us speculate to much on it. Children can be sad for many reasons, normal reasons too... Having said that this capture is fantastic...as always from you Carlos. The background colors fitting to his shirt and his skin colors! Details like his dirty nails... The tear in his face... AMAZING!!! +10 TOP MARKS Carlos!

Poor little boy... some children feel they deserve what they get and I think that's why he is hurting himself. Or perhaps he is pinching his arm to distract from the pain he is feeling from the blow to his forehead. All children are innocent and precious... Wonderful photo Carlos. i can feel the pain of this little boy, and strangely enough, i'm feeling bittersweet... the path of the tears reveal the boy's agony, but it's not the really deep-down-broken-heart kind of agony that he can feel at this age yet. Rather, it's a mixture of innocence and physical-injury-caused pain... adults would never have such divine tears as he has, a pure sense of sadness, so subtle and sudden... comes quick and goes away quick (at least i hope so : P) what a wonderful job of capturing this shot! MY BOW TO YOU!!!!
