This Photo is dedicated to Ohce...Echo...Lee...whose "Beauty of the Mountains"...has moved me and inspired me to look also for the beauty of the mountains of my country.....El Salvador.

The subject...."Devil's Gate"....this place is like a big abrup cut in the mountains....from here there are many lovely views...this is just one of them.....The place is linked to many legends and rumors...they try to change the name to "Angel's Gate"...but all the people still call it "Devil's Gate"....The volcano at the background is Chichontepec Volcano....is not active...but an earthquake 4 years ago caused great damage to the city that is behind the volcano...Chichontepec means in Nahuat....."two breasts"...

wow thats beautiful.... love the stairs too the left. Devil's Gate just sounds so much more mysterious and scary that Angel's Gate.... wonderful photograph....

Beatiful shot. Only crit is that I'd like to see the trees more green. Perhaps the haze of the day has dulled them a little.

Great work Carlos! You have composed this so well. I want to be on those stairs!
I love scenery shots where something is in the foreground. To me, it adds so much interest to a landscape shot if done tastefully. You have done it tastefully!
My only crit ... the yellow grasses on the left side along the stairs seem over saturated.

Great work nevertheless.

Whoa, although the whole pic seems a bit over-satuated (the greens in the front are too dark to be that satuated) you got a damn great feeling here, except to the satuation, I have nothing to crit.

Thans for the coments ...your feedback is very important to me ....because I am getting my eyes adjusted to a HDTV Monitor ....and have problems judging brightness...saturarion...contrast....I gues I will have to find a middle point.....and Ohce I am so glad you like it...your work with the mountains is an inspiration to me...
