I took this picture about 30 years agoâ€¦.at San Salvador Volcanoâ€¦â€¦I saw this little girl and asked her permission to take a pictureâ€¦.Her hair was in bad shapeâ€¦. she looked really poor and coldâ€¦She hide behind her brother who had some white spots of malnutrition on his armsâ€¦and also some scars from a ropeâ€¦Poverty is still high in my country and you can not hide itâ€¦we have beautiful landscapes but also sad pictures like thisâ€¦..I will never forget that look on her eyes and her smileâ€¦.

I know the quality of the picture is not excellentâ€¦(Old 35mm and scanned) I think the content is more importantâ€¦.

This picture is for Moni really...I am dedicating this picture to him...I am sure he has not seen it....otherwise I am sure he is going to like it...
Moni this photo is for you...You work reminds me so much of this little girl...

Thank you all...Thanks Lee...I hesitated to post this one....because the way she looked at me....seems to be asking....Are you as happy as me ?....or ....what are you going to do for me ?.....as I aproach my last decades...I guess I can say that that I did the best I could, when I worked teaching Neonatology for more than 12 years in a Charity hospital in my country ....so now I can publish this here..

I love your photographs.The tenderness in your captions and your compromise with the subject really amazed me.
